Teen/Adult Circus Saturday!

Circus Saturday is upon us! A day of workshops where guest artists from the larger circus community share disciplines novel to our Fort Collins Circus Center’s weekly offerings. So many circus things to look forward to!

Most single workshops are $55; Register for 3 consecutive workshops for only $144 and receive a free circus sticker!

*note that $55 is for TWO people for the partner juggling wksp. Register one person and bring a friend for free!

*note that you may purchase both Flow arts and Fire Safety wksps for $55, or one of them for $30

Staza- Stilts and Invented Aparatus

Come learn the basics of stilt walking- and if you're feeling good- some tricks! No experience required.

Invented Apparatus- explore unique aerial apparatuses like the aerial chair, trap-lyra, and more!

German Wheel- Chris

Chris Delgado started his Wheel journey over 15 years ago; teaching youth circus at CircEsteem and training with 8-time German Wheel World Champion, Wolfgang Bientzle. Since then, Chris has lived in Chicago, New York City, and Las Vegas, where he's run his own classes and workshop circuits, in addition to performing everywhere from Abu Dhabi to New Zealand. As a recent transplant to Colorado, Chris is super excited to be the newest resident manager at the BCC, where he teaches weekly German wheel classes.

Take a ride on the wild side as we roll our way into the wonderful world of wheel!

• Start off in the belts, you'll be upside-down in the first 30 minutes

• Doubles tricks – the joy of Teeter Totter

• Get your camera ready - The dying angel is to die for

• Free­seat forwards - The must­-know move of straight line

• Finish the day with a dash of Spiral and Vault. What's that? You'll have to sign up to find out.

• Feel familiar? Repeat wheelers welcome! I will ALWAYS have more advanced variations for you!

Circus Artists

Have the Fort Collins Circus Center provide professional circus entertainment for your next event! We can build a package to wow your guests from the floor or in the air. Aerialists, stilt walkers, juggler, hula hoopers, or acrobatics.

Silks, Mixed App, Preschool, aerial prep, acro, dance

Jessica “Super Jes” L Schultz has been an athlete all her life and has over 2 decades of teaching experience. Jes holds a bachelor of fine arts degree in Dance, a master of science degree in Sport Pedagogy, two CO. K-12 teaching licenses and a yoga teaching certificate.

Flow arts

“Lindy Spindy”, Duchess of Circus Center Fort Collins, is an accomplished flow artist. Hula hoops are her specialty, but she also spins poi, fans, and fire! Lindy performs with circus troupes in northern Colorado and continues to spread her circus wings.

silks, lyra, trapeze

Kim , aka “Kim Berley”, is a Philadelphia native aerialist. She has been training in aerial arts for five years and teaching for two. While she specializes in trapeze and silks, she also trains and pays homage to lyra, sling and rope. She enjoys complex choreography incorporating multiple apparatus theories and showcasing strength and flexibility.

“Dazzling Drake” Bruner has been training in the aerial arts for over three years now. He is a decorated silks performer, winning the first Rocky Mountain Aerial Arts competition. He is also versed in contortion and more than seven other aerial apparatuses.

Flow arts

Let Laurali Firefly enchant you at your next event! Laurali is a fully insured performance artist, performing professionally since 2006. She expresses herself with a wide range of modalities, including but not limited to fire dance, LED and other flow arts, and acrobatics with flow props. She spins many different tools, including fans, dragon staff, hula hoop (single and double), staff (singe and double), buugeng, poi, and more.

Corinne is known throughout northern Colorado as Coco Hula Hoop Extraordinaire. She has been hula hooping since 2009 and can perform with up to 8 LED hula hoops or two fire hula hoops. She provides mesmerizing shows that will always impress guest and create a magical atmosphere.

Flow arts

Krista Lockwood has a background in ballet, jazz, and burlesque dancing. She first picked up a hula hoop in 2011 and began performing publicly in 2015. She continues to expand her interests in flow and circus arts, including LED and fire performances at festivals, variety shows, and private events. She shares her passion for the circus community through collaborative choreography and performance.
